FAQs

How often should I have my heating system serviced?

The industry standard is to have your heating system serviced annually. Regular service can also help to reduce the need for repairs over the lifespan of the system.

Is there anything I should do before the technicians get to my home to service my system?

We will take care of everything, we only ask that all areas around the unit are easily accessible and, if it’s applicable, to have ice cleared from walkways leading to the work area.

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely! Our Rockland County license number is RC1099. Our New Jersey license number is NJ13VH02075300. Our Westchester County number is WC-18793-H07. Also, it is important to note that our insurance is comprehensive and includes workman’s compensation.

I hear a banging noise, should I call for service?

It’s difficult to diagnose sounds without being in your home to hear them, so in many cases a service call is the peace of mind you need to feel comfortable. There are plenty of times we come out and the solution is simple, but other times it can be an indicator of something much more serious. Give us a call, or click here and send us a note and we will help you determine what fits your needs best.

I think there may be a leak somewhere in the wall/ceiling, should I call you to investigate?

It’s difficult to trace back the route of water leak issues. Sometimes it’s related to plumbing pipes, other times you need more insulation around your ductwork and condensation dripping down. It can be a drainage issue in the system or other issues. What is certain is that water leak problems should be addressed immediately since they can result in severe damages and, if left unchecked, black mold causing respiratory issues in your home over time.

Click here to contact us, if it makes sense to come out and take a look we can see if it’s related to your system, or at the very least help steer you in the right direction from there. It’s also possible it may be related to a chimney in your home depending on the leak’s location, we can address that as well.

Some parts of my house are not heating like they used to, do I need a new system?

While it is certainly possible, a lot of times the system is for the most part fine, it merely needs to be serviced. Other times it’s an individual component that needs attention. It could be an issue with a specific zone in your home or something of that nature. We might be able to save you the cost of a new install by cleaning and servicing your unit and ensuring all components and accessories are working properly. Give us a call, or click here to set up a service call. Chances are good we can save you money and get you back to optimum heating.

I have hot and cold spots in my house, what can I do to fix this?

If the variations in temperature are not severe, something as simple as leaving certain room doors open can be all that is needed. Sometimes that isn’t convenient, especially when a hot spot is your bedroom or bathroom. The real answer is getting down to the root of the problem. Why is there an issue in that specific area?

Once we know the answer to that, we can calculate the best solution for your needs. From modifying your existing system, to installing a ductless system in a single room, we have a wide array of solutions to suit your needs.
